Joey Lawrence, who landed appeared as guest on CSI:NY after his participation in Dancing with the Stars’ third season, is now set to move on to the big screen. He will befeatured in director Jeff Parkin’s comedy film, Together Again for the First Time.
The 31-year-oldactor mostly appeared on television, however he still worked in films such as The Pool 2, Pandora’s Box, and Tequila Body Shots. Best known for his role as Joey Russo in the 1990s sitcom, Blossom, Joey Lawrence has furthered his actingcareer by participating in the highly-watched Dancing with the Stars in 2006.This led to a 3-episode arc appearance on CSI:NY and a role in an upcomingmovie.
Together Again forthe First Time will feature the former Dancing with the Stars contestantbecoming the face of Carey Krzyznyk, alongside Julia Duffy who will play Audrey Wolders Frobisher, David Ogden Stiers as Max Frobisher, and Kirby Heyborne asRoger Wolders.
The movie, which iswritten by Jeff Parkin and Reed McColm, chronicles the story of a merged familyreuniting for the first time in seven years, on Christmas Eve. They then discover that matters have gone worst among the family members, as more complications arise. An unexpected boyfriend arrives, an unannounced live television broadcast and the revelation of well-kept family secrets.
The film is slated for release this year, and is produces by Asgaard Entertainment with James Huntsman, Reed McColm, and Jeff Parkin.
Aside from this film, Lawrence will also be working on the comedy-horror flick Killer Pad, which is directed by Robert Englund and written by Dan Stoller. The movie follows three friends as they move into a haunted house in the Hollywood Hills. Lawrence stars as himself, and is accompanied by Daniel Franzese as Doug, Eric Jungmann as Craig, and Shane McRae as Brody.
